This recipe is healthy tasty another substitute for regular idly. Also easy to make. If you kambu and raagi flour, need to just grind urad dhal.
When you make it for the first time take 1 cup of ground urad dhal while grinding for regular rice idly and mix with the flour.
INGREDIENTS:
Kambu flour - 2 cup
Ragi flour - 3/4 cup
Urad dhal - 1/2 cup
Fenugreek seed- 1/2 TSP
STEPS:
First soak urad dhal and fenugreek seeds separately for 3 hrs.
Now mix ragi and kambu flour with salt.
Add water and make a thick batter.
Now grind urad dhal to a smooth and fluffy consistency.
Add this to the flour batter and give a gentle mix thoroughly.
Let it ferment overnight.
Mix well the fermented batter with little air pockets.
Pour this batter in idly mould and make idly.
Serve with idly sambar and chutney.
