Ragi idli is a healthy option to replace regular white rice idli.
We can make many tasty items with ragi.
This idli is easy to make.
We just need two ingredients for making ragi idli batter.
INGREDIENTS:
Ragi flour - 2 cup
Urad dhal - 1/2 cup (ground)
Salt as required.
STEPS:
First soak and grind urad dhal.
For less quantity you can grind in mixe.
Or take half cup while grinding for rice idli.
Now add water and salt to ragi flour to get thick consistency batter.
Now mix in urad dhal with ragi.
Let it ferment overnight.
Mix the fermented batter well
Pour lade full of ragi batter in idli mould and steam for 10 mins.
Serve with tangy spicy tomato chutney.
NOTE:
Since we are using ragi flour which is so smooth powder, use urad dhal less compared to regular rice idli batter.
You can also use ragi. Soak it and grind.
